Program Summary:
Fishers Chamber of Commerce will present four $1,000 scholarships to two graduating Hamilton Southeastern high school seniors and two graduating Fishers high school seniors who have worked in a Fishers business or community organization for a minimum of six months and plans to attend an Indiana college or university.  Four, one time, non-renewable scholarships will be awarded in 2008.

Qualifications:
Student applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
-         Completed application with essay of 200 words (or less) on work ethics or lesson learned through work experience or community involvement.
-         Grade Point Average (GPA) minimum 3.0
-         Acceptance of admission as a full time student to an Indiana college or university.
-         Letter of confirmation and/or  recommendation from employer or community organization confirming employment or community involvement of 6 months.

Selection Process:
A selection committee will evaluate applications and interview top students who apply for scholarships.  Students must attend 15 minute interview to be considered.  Additionally, winners will be honored at the HSE and Fishers Senior Awards Night in May and the Chamber luncheon on June 18.  Scholarship winners will be announced May 1, 2008. 

Selection Committee:
The selection committee will be comprised of three Fishers Chamber of Commerce representatives. 

Application Deadline:
Deadline for submission of application is April 1, 2008.  Top applicant interviews will take place in April 2008.
