The wide range of housing gives residents many

professionals and executives alike have much to
choose from. Retirees enjoy elegant comfort in
patio and townhouses sporting a golf course or lake
view.
Every four years, residents of Fishers elect a
seven-member Town Council and a clerk-treasurer.
The town Council holds the legislative and executive
powers for the Town, and the clerk-treasurer is
responsible for matters related to the Town’s
finances. The Town Council elects a council
president and vice-president each year.
The council is also responsible for appointing and
overseeing a town manager and overseeing the
Administration, Development, Fire, Police, Parks and
Recreation, Public Works, Wastewater and Information
Technology departments.
