Established in 1990, the Fishers Parks & Recreation
Department was developed to address the growing
needs of town residents, and to work with citizens
to establish a variety of amenities for people to
enjoy. Working with the Fishers Town Council and the
Fishers Park Advisory Committee, the department
offers eleven parks, totaling 362 acres, and over 61
miles of multi-purpose trail -- all with a variety
of uses. Enhancing the natural recreational
amenities are many other wonderful recreational
possibilities located in Fishers and professional
sporting venues located in Indianapolis just a short
drive away.
