It is the intent of the Town of Fishers to customize
the offering of tax abatements-incentives on a
case-by-case basis and to allow maximum flexibility
in addressing the unique concerns of each applicant
while enabling the Town to respond to the changing
needs of the community. The criteria outlines below
will be used to determine whether it is in the best
interest of the Town of Fishers to provide
incentives to a particular applicant. The degree to
which the specified project furthers the goals and
objectives of the Town will determine whether tax
abatements for up to 10 years may be considered.
While a business might be eligible for tax
abatement, tax abatement can only be received if
applied for and approved prior to start of
construction. The Fishers Town Council retains sole
authority to approve or deny any tax abatement
application.
Permitting
For Town Council approved projects PERMITTING MAY BE
ACCOMPLISHED ON A “SAME DAY” BASIS pending
submittal of required documents.
The Town will provide a staff member, who along with
the Director of Development, will serve as
project ombudsman during the approval and
construction process.

SUBJECT TO TOWN COUNCIL APPROVAL, ALL REQUIRED
PROCESSES WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH ONLY THE
STATUTORY 48 HOUR LEGAL NOTICE REQUIREMENTS.
