northeast of Indianapolis. The transportation routes
of I-465 and I-69 make Fishers a very convenient
place to live and do business. The Metropolitan
Airport is located in the area and you can reach the
Indianapolis International Airport in 30 minutes.

Fishers has a rich
history dating back to June of 1872 when Salathiel
Fisher divided his land into town lots. The area was
formerly known as Fishers Station and originally as
Fishers Switch. New communities in this time period
would spring up along railroads and Fishers was no
exception, hence the early reference to a train
station or switch. The Fishers Train Station,
located in the heart of town, is home to the Fishers
Chamber of Commerce and the Hamilton County
Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The Fishers Chamber
of Commerce is committed to serving its members as
well as the community in making Fishers an even
better place to live and work. The Chamber is
located at 11601 Municipal Drive near I-69 and 116th
Street. The hours of operation are Monday through
Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
